Bleeding tissue paper art is fun for kids and mess-free for moms! Here's what you will need:
Supplies:
- Watercolor Paper
- Water
- Colored Tissue Paper
- Foam Brush
Directions:
1. Tear tissue paper into small pieces.
2. Paint paper with water.
3. Place torn tissue paper on paper.
4. Paint over top of tissue paper with water.
5. Allow to dry and peal tissue paper off to reveal artwork.
You will notice that the final product looks a little different than the pictures of Sophie creating it. The tissue paper used in our first version did not transfer well onto the paper, so we made a second version using a different brand tissue paper. The first version used tissue paper from Target and the second used tissue paper from Dollar Tree. I guess the lesson learned is that cheaper tissue paper bleeds brighter colors!

This is super cute and looks really fun! Also, Sophie is seriously adorable.
ReplyDeleteThis is a fun idea! I've done it where you left the tissue paper on there and used a glue wash but this is a fun idea to use the tissue paper to make the color! Very clever :) Krista @ A Handful of Everything
